  1. Green Beanz respects the privacy of individuals and is committed to comply with its obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “Act”).
  2. This policy statement contains the personal data protection and privacy policy adopted by Green Beanz to manage your personal data in accordance with the Act. Please take a moment to read this policy to understand the purposes for which we collect, use and disclose your personal data.
  3. By registering for or attending any Green Beanz event, you agree to the policies, terms and conditions set out in this statement.

If you do not agree to any of the terms or conditions set out in this statement regarding the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data, your disagreement must be expressed in writing to the Green Beanz Data Protection Officer (see below). Such disagreement can be expressed at any time. Upon receipt of your express disagreement, the Green Beanz will cease the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data within 14 days, unless legally permitted to do so under the Act.
  5. Green Beanz may change some parts or all of the contents of this policy from time to time to ensure that this policy is in line with legal and regulatory requirements. Hence, we advise you to check back regularly for updated information on the handling of your personal data.

  7. The methods/ instances when Green Beanz collects your personal data include, but are not limited to: i. Submission of a sign up or other administrative form; ii. Registration for Green Beanz events; iii. Donation to Green Beanz; iv. Submission of report, letter or documentation to Green Beanz; v. Official and unofficial photo and video recordings during/of Green Beanz events; vi. Any other method, with your consent.
  8. The types of personal data collected by Green Beanz include, but are not limited to: i. General particulars including name, age, gender, race, nationality, height and weight; ii. Identification particulars including date of birth, signature, etc; iii. Image, including photo, video and other digital recordings; iv. Contact details including home address, postal code, mobile contact number, home contact number and email address; v. Other reasonable and relevant details for the purposes stated below.   9. The personal data collected by Green Beanz may be used or disclosed for the following purposes: i. Conducting and organising Green Beanz events; ii. Responding to your queries and requests; iii. Resolving complaints and handling requests and enquiries; iv. Delivering information to you regarding Green Beanz news, publications and events; v. Internal record keeping; vi. Internal and external publications such as Green Beanz newsletters, websites, social media; vii. Professional services including legal and auditing services; viii. Transfer to affiliated third-party individuals and organisations, including foreign community service organisations such as Let’s Do It (organiser of World Cleanup Day), for their use for publicity and reporting; and xi. Any other purpose, with your consent.

Green Beanz will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the third parties, whom your personal data is being disclosed to, will provide a comparable standard of protection to your personal data. However, Green Beanz does not provide any warranty or take any responsibility of any misuse undertaken by those third parties.

While security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to protect the security of the personal data and will constantly review and enhance our information security measures.
